Stock made its way out in Queensland last Friday and it has started to yield some results that make us at ASCC ask what is going on.
1. Young Gun cards are not numbered.
Unbelievable right. After getting plenty (and we mean plenty) or feedback from the Limited Edition release that high end cards need to be numbered (and telling collectors they had listened) the cards are not individually numbered.
The simple fact is that a numbered high end card will always be more valuable than a unnumbered card. Some collectors chase low numbers or certain numbers for their collections and they pay overs for the privilege.
This is a huge blow to dealers that have spent plenty of money supporting this release as its going to reduce the money they are able to make and then re-invest in new product.
FAIL!
2. ESP cant count.
After being told by Ikon there are only 100 of the legend signature cards and only 130 Young Gun cards there are actually 208 and 260 respectively. Yes that right - double the amount of stock that they originally thought there was. The implications for sellers are huge Sellers were locking in orders based on the initial information that they gave out and they now find out that the production is doubled. Its unacceptable.
FAIL!
ESP had a ton of goodwill with collectors after taking production over from Select. Its fading fast.
